Our mission is to reach out to families who are walking in this nightmare with us, and with that in mind, I am asking that May 31, 2015 be declared South Carolina Bereaved Parent's Day. Losing an infant is still a taboo subject in our society, and all too often, parents feel like they are in this nightmare alone. Please join me in letting them know that this is not the case, let's work together to show all parents who have lost a child that their State, their community, their Governor cares. Thank you for your time, I look forward to working with you to make SC Bereaved Parents Day a reality and an annual day of remembrance. Who knows, we may be the beacon that opens the eyes of the nation.
