Too much dying Conway City Council has set Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium on the Coastal Carolina University campus as the time and place for a community awareness program about the terrible heroin problem that has arisen in this area. Myrtle Beach drew a huge crowd in a similarly-targeted public meeting. Noreen Beck, who lost a son to a heroin overdose, encouraged council to support the meeting. She said the heroin problem, that some people are calling an epidemic, isn't just a city or county problem. It's everywhere. "We're losing a lot of people, and it's ironic that I'm here speaking today because this is the anniversary of my son's death, due to heroin...When my son died, I was ashamed. Now I'm angry that I didn't speak up sooner," she said. Everyone is invited to the meeting Nov. 3. It would be Nice if you could Attend! 172.75.109.71
