Sue,
As of last month, I am the Assistant General Counsel for SCDCA. Amanda Self has taken over as the Services Director. She will handle all of the emails from your constituents from here on.
I included her in the reply to this email so she can see this email (and respond) and so you will have her contact information. You can reach her at my old phone number – 803.734.4214.
If you have any questions, let Mandy or me know.

I have a question and a request. First the question. I know Time Warner Cable is regulated by the FCC, But does anyone regulate Direct TV and Dish. Every year Direct T.V. has a price increase of $ 5 to $10. Personally, I think they don't need these increases and are price gouging the customer. When they get any kind of competition, They just buy the other company out that creates a monopoly. Time Warner Cable is the same way. They are just about the only one who offers High speed internet in the area, which also creates a monopoly. Is there anyway, that would could have more competition with these two companies in the state without allowing them to buy everyone out and thus create a monopoly. Can the government use anti-Trust laws to break this up and, if these laws can be used why are we using them? Next' I would strongly recommend that Direct T.V and Time Warner Cable be more closely regulated. It seems to me like both companies can charge, whatever; prices they want and no one does anything. Do you have any solutions for this problem. Looking forward to your reply
Thanks
Paul Watson </MSG>
