Board of Economic Advisors reported that the state lottery is expected to generate 80 million more than expected this year.
Senate Finance Committee Chairman Hugh Leatherman says that's good news.
Leatherman says the Legislature could write a separate spending bill to put extra lottery money into scholarship programs, public schools or education programs.
He says legislators could just wait and use the money for those types of programs in the budget year that begins July First.
