Mrs.Haley,
My husband Tommy Catoe was awarded the Order of the Palmetto by you.
I want to Thank you as he is never recognized for all his community service or all of the 
Volunteer positions he holds.
My Husband is the Chief of the Sandhill Volunteer Fire Department in our small town, He is also 
the Volunteer Director of our Dixie Youth Program and Coach to the JV Softball team of our High School.
He is constantly seeking ways to make life better for the children in our community.
Recently ( Nov. 1st 2016 ) we lost our 3 month old Grandson to SUIDS and Tommy was the first responder to arrive but could not save him and was devastated. He is trying to get a grant to build a walking trail at the Dixie Youth complex in his honor Bladen's Trail it will be called. I just wanted you to know how much this honor meant to his family as we have given a lot of our family time to others. 
He was so deserving of this award and I sincerely Thank you.
Good Luck in you next Journey. South Carolina will miss you.
