I have been involve in a child abuse case were the offender was the mother of the child. The case was mishandled by the Department of Social Services. They failed to safe guard the child from the mother. I understand that there is parental rights but there are victims rights as well. The child is going to be placed back with the mother who physical abused the child. The child was also sexually assaulted by a friend of the mother who after the assault of the child was still allowed to be around the child. The other problem is that the mother has to much rights to the child. Where she has been allowed to threaten the child. I would like the case to be restarted with a new investigator not from the Moncks Corner Office. The last Investigator was impartial because she knew the family prior to the case. There is more to this case in which Department of Social Service, Moncks Corner, did that failed to protect the child but there is not enough space to put in detail. If you would please look into this case it is the Brianna Barnette case. This child should not have to live in fear. Thank you.
