I recall a number of weeks ago when Sen. Lee Bright tried to get a bill passed concerning bathroom's that you personally made a comment that this was unnecessary. I think you are being shown unwise in this area as we speak, and we need you to lead wisely now for the sake of our children and function fully in your role as a lesser magistrate standing between the citizens of SC and the tyranny coming down from the federal government. Berkley county and Sumter County schools are already trying to pass their own versions allowing students to use whatever bathroom they wish, and now they will be reinforced and supported by the Obama administration. I'm sure other counties may follow suit without your leadership. Our state needs a united front on this. Now is the time to take a stand because now not only is our education system at stake, but also the safety of all of our children. I hope you will make the right choice. There can be no neutral on this issue. Politics aside, you have a duty as governor to ensure the safety of SC citizens. And this edict from Obama is anything less than providing the safety we require for our children. I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Pastor Brad Bates, Campus Pastor Legacy Church | Charleston, South Carolina
