Greenville Police say they busted a 75-year-old man's illegal gambling and liquor house operating in the West Greenville community, according to police reports.

An officer on patrol spotted a man with an active arrest warrant Thursday run into a house on Meadow Street, off Hudson Street, according to the report. The officer went to the house to look for the suspect.

There were several people outside the home, according to the report. A woman allowed the officer to come inside, police reported.

The officer said he found 104 cans of beer, 38 bottles of Mad Dog 20/20, 31 bottles of Wild Irish Rose, 24 cans of malt liquor, 20 bottles of brandy, 19 bottles of beer, 17 bottles of Seagrams Extra Dry Gin, three bottles of Canadian Club Whisky, according to the report.

A price list for beverages was attached to the refrigerator, according to the report.

The majority of the alcohol was in unopened containers, boxes and coolers, according to the report. The officer also found gambling ball tickets.

The home's owner soon arrived and told police the home was a "club house," but couldn't say for what organization, according to the report. The man also could not provide a license to sell alcohol.

Acquillious Jackson, 75, of 13 Meadow Street, was charged with operating a business without a license and maintaining a gambling house, according to tickets.
