I have a serious heart condition and have medicare and medicade insurance. My doctor referred me to MUSC heart specialist in Charleston. MUSC notified my doctor that they would not accept me because of my insurance. Roper Hospital heart specialist want $170 in advance to give me the test I need to identify the exact cause of my problem. I do not have any money and have been led to believe medicare and medicade would cover my health insurance needs. Why will MUSC not accept me as a patient? I am scared that I will not get any help and this heart condition is going to kill me. PLEASE help me! I do not know who to turn to. I live alone and my children do not have any money. Again, I beg you to please help me.
