Mrs. Way,

The South Carolina State Department of Education is not underneath the Governor's Office. In fact, the State Superintendent of Education is a publicly elected position and is a non-cabinet agency, as are your local boards of education. I will forward your email again for a proper response to SDE, but the likelihood of this being under the legal jurisdiction of the Governor's Office is minimal if not entirely nonexistent.=C2=A0

If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Hal Peters=C2=A0
