I turned on my television last night to yet more drama from the City of Simpsonville. As a tax paying citizen of the city, I am asking for an intervention from the governor's office. The city has been a laughing joke since the first time the police Chief Keith Grounsell was fired 3 years ago. Shortly after all of that drama you removed Perry Eichor from office for obstruction. Things had been ok until the new city council was elected. We have a mayor who does not seem to understand there are rules for running a council meeting. She publically belittles members of council. It has happened time and time again. Jus last week The Greenville News reported that council had voted not to comtinue accreditation for the police department. The repost stated that Janice Curtis (mayor) looked at the city admisistrator and told him Keith Grounsell was giving her some type of juvnille look. The reporter stated Keith Grounsell looked up from his cell phone surprised by the comment. It seems the newly electedmayor has a personal vendetta for our Chief of Police. From a citizens standpoint our PD appears stronger and more stable than it has since I moed to Simpsonville in 1984. I don't have answers. I just know out city is a joke! I don't see why any new business would want to come here and get involved in the crooked politics. I would greatly appreciate if someone on a higher level of government coud interviene and help the citizens of Simpsonville take out city back. Thank you for your time. Carlee Smith 71.85.48.77
