To my Elected Representative; ref; Concealed Carry Reciprocity needed. Ma'am,, There was another mass shooting in Pennsylvania. It appears that Bradley William Stone, a 35 year-old veteran, killed his ex-wife and then proceeded to kill five of her family members across the county. I am not calling for more gun control. There's little to suggest that any of the gun control proposals on the table would have stopped this. This "mass shooting" could have easily been a "mass stabbing" or "mass bludgeoning." I am writing to tell you the story of the man who could have easily been the seventh fatality. While this man was walking his dog, Stone confronted him and demanded his car keys at knifepoint. Instead of becoming a victim, this dog-walker pulled his concealed pistol and opened fire on Bradley Stone. The headlines describe a mass shooting in Pennsylvania, but they could just as easily read "Law-Abiding Gun Owner Almost Stops Mass Shooting." These types of incidents happen every day, all across the country. Except in a shrinking minority of states, citizens are having their Second Amendment rights trampled on. They are not allowed to carry a gun for self-defense. I'm not asking that we go back to the Wild West. All I am asking is that you and your staff draft legislation that respects states' rights while ensuring that Americans can carry firearms as the Second Amendment intended. A sovereign citizen should not be forced to disarm when crossing a state border, nor should law-abiding citizens be prohibited from protecting themselves in public. This kind of law is long overdue. The country needs Concealed Carry Reciprocity now! Please work with your staff to introduce legislation that would help protect Americans!
