I make too much for the ACA Exchange, but I don't make enough to pay for all of my services out-of-pocket. In fact, to purchase a poorly appointed high deductible plan is going to cost me several hundreds of dollars more than my monthly $1,300 mortgage payment. At 58, I need to be saving for retirement, but between self-employment taxes and the cost of insurance, that's very difficult to do. I'm feeling totally stressed out over this situation. Something has to be done for the average, self-employed working person. There are only two primary care physicians in Beaufort County who take the insurance that's available to me. My wife is pushing for us to leave South Carolina over this issue, but I love it here. Please tell me something is being done to help us! Thank you, Jeff Cline
