Good morning to you and our wonderful Governor Nikki Haley! My name is Lewis Nelson and I am the leader of over 10,000 Prince Hall Masons and another 11,000 Prince Hall Eastern Stars in the State of SC. Each year, we have our State Masonic Meeting in Columbia and we have invited our City and State Leaders to our kick-off Prayer Breakfast to welcome those coming to the City. I sent a previous request but with all the events occurring in SC, it may have gotten lost or could be operator error. I am inviting our Governor to come and say hello to the over 400 members that will attend the Prayer Breakfast at the Marriott Hotel downtown. It is nothing formal but just something to get those attending ready for the big meeting which will be on Tuesday, 12/8, at 8:00AM at 1st Nazareth Baptist Church across from the Masonic Temple. We will have over 1200 at the meeting with delegates coming from 12 other States and overseas for the Annual Meeting. But the Breakfast is just the way to get started. Knowing how busy the Governor has been, I am inquiring and it would be an honor for us if the Governor can come by and welcome all the visitors and members coming from all across SC even for the briefest of moments. I am expecting the Mayor, Fire Chief, Police Chief and Representatives Joe McEachern, Lonnie Hosey (Past Grand Master for the Masons) and Ceasar McKnight. I can be reached at any of the numbers or e-mails above and the Governor is certainly welcome if her schedule permits to have Breakfast with us.
