Although I do have some concerns about this bill, at least you are doing something:  My concerns are:

1.  Funding should be from increased fuel tax.  This is the most equitable way to pay for our roads.

2. Small communities such as Newberry always get very little funding.  Please do not let this continue.  We need economic development more than anyone!

 Our lawmakers in the South Carolina House of Representatives and Senate have found middle ground and voted to pass a roads repair bill thats now on Governor Haleys desk awaiting a signature.



The compromise bill is a great start toward fixing the broken roads and bridges in the Palmetto State and reforming the system that maintains them long term.



Please support their efforts and approve the road repair bill on your desk as soon as possible.
