My husband and I were considering SC as a state in which to retire, but after the bible study shooting and the refusal of the state legislature to remove the Confederate flag from the state capitol - we have decided that SC is not a suitable place for retirement.  The racial hatred by some and the fact that parents would provide a gun to someone with such bias and hatred is disturbing, to say the least.  Please convey these sentiments to your legislature and the state department in charge of attracting the relocation and/or retirement of those outside of your state  borders.
