I am a senior,low income,poverty level citizen,retired with medicare and medicaid.I have been a patient at the Center For Family Medicine at Spartanburg Healthcare System for 24 yrs,with no co-pay at all. Now, I am told that I must pay a co-pay thanks to the governor. With all of my doctors,the co-pays totaly wipe out my cost of living increase from social security. Your decision to financially hit those of us who never abuse their privileges and only see their doctors when instructed,is also causing us to decide to leave our doctors and the health care system in and around Spartanburg.I am doing so tomorrow. Financially, that is the only choice I have. That co-pay may seem like nothing to you, but to me it is everything. The hospital itself, actually suggested that I contact you because of the backlash from other patients. I may have voted for you, but I have to ask, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?
