Charleston SC 29407 martyhendrix79@yahoo.com 3863145654 3863145654 GUNS assault weapons 108.249.80.134 I want to start this email with stating that I am an avid hunter and have been my entire life. With that being said, this state needs some type of gun control. Why would anyone in this country need an assault weapon? These weapons only serve one purpose - killing people. In no hunting situation, would a person need a weapon with a clip containing over 50 bullets. We need advanced screening when anyone is purchasing a weapon of any kind. In this day an age, a criminal background check can be done within 24 hours. If it take a little longer to do a thorough background check - so what. The laws should be working for the public safety not the gun manufacturer and NRA. This is not a republican and democrat issue - it's a safety issue. How many more people will need to be killed before Republican's and Democrat's do something. Both side's just seem to stick to same playbook and in turn nothing every gets done. No one has the guts on either side - is brave enough to go against! the grain. Show some courage and really look at the facts. Thanks, Marty Hendrix 386-314-5654
