Governor Vetos Hair Braid Bill
Jimmy Moore
Monday, December 6, 2004

Some people who do hair braiding are no longer tangled in mess.

Monday afternoon in Myrtle Beach, Governor Sanford announced he would veto part of a bill that would have required 60 hours of training to those who braid hair as opposed to the 15-hundred hours currently required by law.

The Governor says he's against just about anything that will discourage small business and economic growth.

Adding that it's absurd to require only eight hours of training to carry a concealed gun, but 60 hours to braid hair.
