Dear Staff, 

My name is Sukhpreet Singh. I am a 24 year old Sikh-American male, currently a 2L at the Charleston School of Law. My intention of writing this message is to provide a unique perspective to the Governor as she leads South Carolina into the future. 

I grew up in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. At St. James High School I was student body president. I was almost student government president at the College of Charleston, where I double majored in Political Science and Communication. I love where I grew up, and where I currently have a chance to further my education. Democracy, the great American experiment, is important to me, as is the future of my state. 

There are important times coming ahead for South Carolina as well as the leadership within the state. With the Governor being selected to give the GOP state of the union, the 2016 election cycle in full swing, and meanwhile racial, religious, and societal tensions continue brewing; a lot of exposure will be brought to our state. We have a chance to make tremendous strides for the good of the state, I just want to contribute in any way I can.
