This did not happen years ago when I was still estimating jobs. When there is a public bid opening, the Mechanical contractors should have to list their subcontractors and use them on the project they happen to get. These days you are told you are low on bid day by the Mechanical Contractor and then you find out you did not get the job. This can only be because the Mechanical Contractor is shopping you bid number out to anyone who would take the job for a lower cost after bid day. This is killing the Construction subcontractors. This has to stop. I am sure no one would admit to it, but believe me, it happens all the time. Please look into changing this and putting it into the LAW. Thank you, Sincerely, James R. Fox
