Tenenbaum influenced by
Sanford |
State Education Superintendent Inez
Tenenbaum says Governor Sanford could be a big influence in whether
she'll run for a U.S. Senate seat.
Sanford would appoint her
replacement if she won the seat.
Tenenbaum is a democrat and
says she would not want what she called a 'right-wing extremist' to
take her place.
Tenenbaum says she would consider running for
Senator Ernest Hollings' seat only if the veteran lawmaker retires
next year.
Hollings has not said whether he will seek another
term.
