He made no verbal or physical threats with this piece of paper. He in no way disrupted the class or implied that this childish paper represented a 'gun'. As a parent and a taxpayer I find this whole incident to be an illogical and fear driven response to what should have been nothing more than a verbal reprimand. My son Sean has ADHD and becomes bored easily. He has informed me that the he was bored and unsupervised because the teacher was not in the room. If this is a representation of public education in the state of South Carolina then in my opinion something is wrong here.
