Dear Governor, 

Everything I had heard of you until your speech was positive. But what an opportunity you wasted. The president babbled his usual array of lies, distortions and straw- man arguments, yet rather than counter them, you opted for an insipid, uninspiring, PC attack on your own party.

You have obviously chosen to be the lackey of the RINO Establishment rather than to listen to the voices of the Republican and conservative base of the party. They are crying out in anguish and frustration with the destructive and unconstitutional behavior of the president and at the cowardice, stupidity and corruption of the Republican "leadership", yet you ignored their justifiable outrage at things like the budget deal.

No doubt you will now be very popular with the frauds and charlatans of the media. You'll be invited on all their shows and be treated better than Republicans usually are (until election time, that is). But hopefully you will never again be chosen to pretend to speak for the people of this nation who are fed up with the status quo and  who welcome forthright criticism of it, even when such criticism borders on the rude.

It's not too late to turn your back on the Beltway Herd. I sincerely hope you do so.
