Sanford picks staff for communications

Gov. Mark Sanford's administration now has an official voice.
On Tuesday, Sanford named three men who will be most responsible for speaking on his behalf.
Chris Drummond, who runs a Charleston limousine service, will be Sanford's communications director. Drummond, former news director at WCSC-TV and WCBD-TV stations in Charleston, served as spokesman for Sanford's inaugural activities. He will be paid $70,000 a year.
Will Folks, who was Sanford's campaign spokesman, is the governor's new press secretary. He'll be paid $42,500 a year.
Joel Sawyer, who covered Sanford's campaign as reporter for the Herald-Journal of Spartanburg, will be the governor's speechwriter. He'll be paid $37,000 annually.
"We've got a great team in place to help get our message of change out there to folks through the media," Sanford said in a news release.
