I asked the school to only give him copies of her report cards. I was told be the principal and superintendent that if he is the biological father it was a state law that he could have that information. He owes back child support and has been trying to get her social security number for years. I have already filed my taxes I am not worried about him using it for that purpose right now but future plans I do because he has asked me to let him claim her and i have refused several years. My concerns are that it was that easy for him to get this Information after I brought in a child support order that I have had for 7 years saying that I am the primary parent and it states that he was 99% proven he was the father so the school used that document as legal documentation for the grounds of him being able to receive the records. I dont understand why this was possible when I was present and asked for him to only get certain things given from her school chart. The principal said she could not pick and choose what she gave him. Is this a true law in South Carolina? Please contact me I really dont understand.
