The flag flew over the State for years without incidence. I am by no means saying the flag may have represented a sad time in the history of the United States, but look at what the removal of the flag has started. The removal has created conflict. Was this the intention of the Governor's office? This is the outcome of haste. I personally believe if the office had taken the stance of realizing the Confederate flag did not kill anyone. It does not put hate or bigotry into people's hearts. Many people in the South has given a new identity to the Confederate flag. They see it has proud Southern heritage. They see it as a symbol of progress. If the Governor's office had embraced this new ideology and used this to rally and unite all people there would have not been the opening of the Pandora's box. So congrads to more conflict, more hate, more division that the members of the White House started over 6 years ago. When will the members of our Government start uniting Americans? Alicia Gaddy
