Reed Jr. 801 Huntington Ave Columbia SC 29205 perj44@yahoo.com GUNS Thank you Gov. Haley, Thank you for your work to take down the flag from the State House grounds. It showed that our state is not defined by our racist and segregationist past, and that we are trying to move forward to a more united and egalitarian future. I would suggest that you respond to the 'heritage' naysayers that the CSA's constitution and all the articles of secession from the former Confederate states all mentioned slavery as the primary impetus. And, the flag wasn't flying until the reaction against the Civil Rights Movement in the mid-20th century. That isn't heritage, that is hate. Thank you for hearing the voice of your state, and responding accordingly.
