Re:  Your cmt that US had never passed laws based on race:  Ever hear of the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 or maybe the Fugitive Slave Act or any manner of laws passed in your state and many others that denied rights  to African Americans from Reconstruction until the 1960's?  Your ancestors wouldn't have been welcome in the Whites Only section either.   Now you seek to do the same via laws supposedly aimed at voter fraud, which you can find near zero examples of, let alone prosecutions for.
