They have significant assets such as causeways, temporary bridges and equipment that is ideally suited to help with temporary bridges and causeways. During my active duty days I was stationed at Fort Eustis, VA, the home of the Transportation Corps at that time (they are now in Fort Lee) and have assisted during efforts during Hurricane clean-up. Fort Bragg, NC, also helped during Hurricane Fran in the clean-up of the Wilmington area and surrounding areas of Fayetteville. I am not certain as to how one would request such assistance but it seems to me that this would be extremely helpful in our current situation. I understand that you are already working this issue. As a veteran in the transportation management field, I just wanted to share what else is out there that you might be able to access to further help our residents.
