We provided proof that there was no lapse in insurance to the DMV in South Carolina and proved we had coverage on our vehicles. My husband's job requires he have insurance with no lapse. When we went and registered a vehicle we bought recently now that we have moved back to SC they charged us a fine of $200 that had to be paid before we could register our vehicle.Unfortunately the office we gave the proof to approximately 4 years ago kept it,so we had no proof we had given the information to the office in Aiken. Is there any way we can be refunded that money, since our insurance never lapsed? Thank you 107.77.160.52
