First, I am not claiming that any of what is happening to me is specifically because I am a vet, I don't believe any of this is discrimination, but I am being treated unfairly, and I am a vet... I bought a house in batesburg this summer and closed in Sept. The seller filled out the disclosure form stating all known problems, but included nothing about the roof. It leaks, pretty badly. I hired an inspector to inspect the attic and everything because with my back it is very difficult for me to climb in some small areas or do much there. He found no buckets in the attic, it was bare. But shortly after closing a few weeks later when it rained, and my kitchen ceiling started dripping, I looked up there and three buckets had been placed to catch obvious known leaks, but that had been removed when the inspector was there. Also, that area of the kitchen floor which seemed more clean than the rest of the house happened to be because when it rained the seller, robert o mitchell jr, who was acting for his mother, either came or paid someone to come clean up after each rain so potential buyers would not know the leaks were active. The home inspector is prepared to testify the buckets were removed when he inspected. Robert O Mitchell Jr lied on his disclosure, which I believe is a legal document. That might be why the seller quietly agreed to provide home warranty, but the problem gets much worse now. I have been deceived by the seller on his legal disclosure document, but I did have a home warranty with 2-10 Home Buyers wty. I immediately called them to report the leak, but they told me I didn't have drip repair coverage and that would cost another $100. So I paid it and they sent out CMS roofing/repair company. CMS came out and collected another $75 for my deductible, and said they would promptly fix it. Approx a month, numerous rains, many calls to 2-10 and CMS, and much dripping in my kitchen CMS finally came out last week to fix the roof. They worked for an hour and then told me they brought the wrong shingles and would it be ok to use them anyway or did they need to go get matching shingles. I am not exaggerating in the least. I told them they needed to match, for one thing how are you going to fix a leak if the shingles don't even match? They were not happy but left for a couple hours and I was not home whenever they came back and did whatever they did, but my ceiling is now leaking considerably worse than before they stepped on the roof. I have before and after pics. You can call me and I will hold the phone so you can hear the drips. Can you help me? Thank you, robert g goering 803-467-1840
