The governor needs to exercise moral leadership by telling the General Assembly that it should vote to remove the Confederate flag from the statehouse grounds. Unfortunately It is (among other things) a symbol of hatred and terror, and South Carolina desperately needs to embrace symbols of inclusiveness, healing, and justice. Thank you.
