I feel this issue should of been put to a vote to the citizens of the State if at all. I do agree that the Confederate Flag should not be on the Capital buildingSo as a Retired Veteran of protecting this country and had relatives that fought on both the North and South during the Civil War, I wonder how long it will be that all flags will be remove from those that sacrificed their lives for their nation. If this SB 897 was passed due to some feel the flag stand for slavery, then we will need to take down the United States of America flag also, for it was the Nation's flag before the Civil war during which slavery was allowed. If we really want to unite this Country then we need to all be Americans without hyphens, I don't go around saying I am a white-Amercian. Thank you for your time and consideration. I also thank you for all the work you have done for South Carolina. Regards, Chad
