I-95 is one of the busiest highways in the nation, but has only 2 lanes in each direction in NC and SC. From the junction with I-26 to the Georgia border, it can not handle holiday traffic rates. The result is long delays, wasted fuel, and accidents that can result in deaths. On Tuesday Dec 29 it took 3 hours for us to cover that section, rather than the 1 hour it should take. It took a neighbor 5 hours on Sunday, Dec 27. You need to form a task force to find a way to add at least one lane each way from the Georgia state line to I-26 asap, and to 3 lane all of I-95 in S.C. It is one of the easiest and least costly sections of interstate highway to widen in the nation. As Governor, you should be embarrassed for your state - it makes SC look like it's in a third world nation. Please take steps to fix this problem. It should be your #1 priority!
