Her comments about not being able to help the "under insured" farmer while still requesting funds for UN-Insured home owners makes no sense. Home Owners all have the option of buying flood insurance as do small business owners. My brother and I are young beginning farmers that will not survive this year without assistance. There are many more just like us. We purchased the highest level coverage that made economic sense for our business, which was 75% yield coverage. This will not come close to covering our losses. No one could predict a drought, followed by a flood, followed by tumbling commodity prices. It seems that Governor Haley has spent her last term as governor being more concerned with how she looks on a national level than protecting South Carolinian's. I urge you to stand up for us now. If you turn your back on South Carolina's #1 industry now we will not forget it.
