It seems that almost daily there is some event that slows or stops traffic, creating delays, frustrations and lost production for the thousands in the vehicles involved. I don't like what this conveys about our state- that it is hard to travel through it, especially on interstate highways. I would like to see our state adopt an effort to get traffic moving again fast. I do not see that those in traffic control responding show any urgency in getting or keeping the traffic moving. While it is important to be careful for safety and for the individuals actually involved in the event, and this can be a sensitive issue, it should also be a priority to keep the flow moving. This will require some coordination among state troopers, county and local officers and so will probably need the governor's support. I would be happy to be involved personally if needed. There needs to be some accountability for efficiency in returning order after a highway event, and I do not believe that exists today. Thank you for your consideration.
