I would like to make an announcement. On November 1st 2015 at approximately 2 o'clock p.m. my husband and children were in the yard cleaning up and playing, I was inside laying our one year old down for a nap. At that time our landlord Harold W Phillips drove onto the 6 acres where we live. He brought his van a 99 Chrysler Town and Country golden color to a complete stop on the private drive. He at that time called LeeLa Mikel Devine over to him. She tripped and fell in front of his van and he ran her over with the front driver tire. He stopped again as Malachi my 9 year old ran around the van and pulled his sister out from underneath. Makayla Nichole my 8 year old at that point scooped up her baby sister's lifeless body on that dirt road. Harold Phillips, after knowingly ran over two and a half year old Leela and acknowledged his actions drove away out of sight. In the moments that followed was chaos confusion and terror. As we rushed to load everybody into our SUV to get her medical attention he came walking back over yelling at us. He stated to me and my husband that he knew he ran her over and she thought she would be ok. Harold W Phillips knowingly ran over my 26 pound two and a half year old and drove away without rendering care. She substained 5 vertebrae fractures in her upper spine and neck, fractured left hip, fractured left collarbone, torn lung, and countless torn muscles, countless bruising inside and out. She was automatically medivac to MUSC as her injuries were serious and possibly life-threatening. She endured excruciating pain. She was damaged not only physically but mentally as well. Harold W Phillips of 271 valiant Lane was found not guilty of breaking any laws. Justice has not been served. Any monster who runs over a child after calling them to him should suffer consequences at the hands of the law. We are so disappointed in South Carolina Highway Patrol. We want justice let's get this monsters name out there. This man knowingly did physical and mental damage to a child. I beg you all to share this post, share in as many groups that you are apart of, get his name out there let everybody know and maybe somebody the right person will hear and help us get justice for LeeLa.
