Lakeside Dr. Hanahan SC 29410 sailoress2004@yahoo.com (440)223-0120 EMER Please forgive some of the missed school days 71.204.237.207 Hello. I am writing to ask consideration in forgiving some of the school days that have been missed due to the extreme weather. So far, Berkeley County has missed three days. Since we teach on a semester schedule at the high school level, making up a day in January (the second semester) does not help me with the current students that I have before the End of Course Exams. I see it as unnecessary to have to make up when it is a different group of students. I have, unfortunately, had to miss 5 days in one semester. I believe that my students were still able to learn everything that they needed. My point is, even for schools and grade levels that are on a year-long schedule, one or two days (particularly at the end of the year) does not make a difference. It is difficult to get students to concentrate and they have most likely already had any major testing. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Lindsy Brunhouse
