Governor Jim Hodges, along with CBS sports anchor
Jim Nantz, honored James "Radio" Kennedy with the Governor's
Athletic Medal of Excellence.
"Radio is the heart and soul of T.L. Hanna," Hodges said.
"He has touched the lives of so many students with the genuine love
of his fellow man."
Radio Kennedy has served as assistant coach, team manager and head
cheerleader of the T.L. Hanna High School Yellow Jackets since 1964. He
has been profiled by Sports Illustrated magazine and CBS Sports.
Governor Hodges also awarded T.L. Hanna Coach Harold
Jones with the Order of the Palmetto.
