Among my many credentials are being the Honorary S C Republican State Chairman and member of The Inner Circle of the Presidential Prayer Team,a nongovernmental organization requested by President Bush after 9.11. I provide this so you will know my involvement with people and events is deep and sincere. Without relating all the testimony in the trial of Mrs Sims,I ask that there be a re.investigation of the events and trial that led to the conviction of Mrs. Sims and the extremely harsh sentence she was given. I was Mrs. Sims pastor during and after her senior year in high school. She impressed me then,during private counseling about what she should do to help friends involved with drugs and related criminal activity. Her concern was showing love while enforcing laws. She has never been in trouble with the law and her commitment as a Christian,mother and citizen is,in my opinion,beyond question. I ask that there be a re.investigation of the events surrounding her arrest,conviction and harsh sentence of 10 years,having to serve a minimum of 8.5. Thank you for your time and consideration of this issue.
