<WFUD_Request>Dear Govenor Haley:
I am a widow and Mother of two Children. My husband worked all of his life until he was burned in our home and over 70% of his body had second and mostly 3rd degree burns. He was flown to the Augusta Burn Center where he was in ICU in a drug induced comma until he passed several months later. I was there by his side until his last breath. This required being in what was horrific place, IT WAS IF I WAS IN A WAR ZONE !!!!!
Burned men and women and Children, Helicopters flying in countless patients day and night. I in turn had to come back to our home to tell my 4th grader after not being permitted to see dad as it is aweful sight, that her Dad had passed. He was an extremely hard working Man. We got survivor benefits. Since I have been diagnosed with PTSD, Severe Anixety, Severe Panic attacks and depression after going to therapy for quite some time.  I have tried and to do right by my children. I have fought disability as they do not wish to cover me with survivor benefits until I am 55?????? These are benefits that my husband woked ALL HIS LIFE FOR US. When my daughter turned 18 in Dec 29th they stopped my income like I said until 55 I am 51 and be 52 in September. I cannot be in places without being heavily medicated.
My safe zone is my home. I have fought Social Security, they say because I havent worked since I got hurt at Post Office which afterwards their vocational expert said on tape in front of judge I could not work, I could build benches!!!!!  Really??? I cant bend stoop etc -- after many months of waiting, a BENCH BUILDER, who builds benches?  NOW MRS HALEY, I have "NO INCOME" and Disabled--- I have on top of back pain from two disc being removed and USPS pays for my Tens Unit for pain, and because Social Security is a BIG JOKE for those who TRULY qualify--- unless they are drug addicts or welfare receipents
I cant even get SSI or SNAP???  My daughter graduated High School on Wed June 1st and started a vocational school following Monday June 6th, then starts college soon after that at Southern Wesleyan.
This is a crazy system???? BROKEN---- I have phyciatric problems see a phystrist and been diagnosed, but I a mother not ever been on federal aid I CANT GET THE SURVIOR BENEFITS OF MY HUSBAND OF 26 yrs
I must beg for the help to get benefits HE paid for into SOCIAL SECURITY AS WELL until my accident I worked two jobs. If the USPS is going to pay for medical supplies to keep me out of pain ???? Provided me tens unit and oh well we dont have to pay you?  Social Security is a JOKE  unless you a dead beat but if you a SC Resident YOU ARE SCREWED.... I am exactly like a WAR VETERAN.  You go spend 3 months at the Augusta Burn Center in ICU and loose your home and see if you dont have PTSD etc......Please I am BEGGING YOU TO PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME ---- AS OUR GOVERNOR---- Please!!!!!!!    I cant deal with this and my mental issues and my kids in therapy too!!!!!  I must stay as strong as posible for them and provide and SC has made it impossible.</WFUD_Request>
