Gov. Mark Sanford said last week he would support a Legislative Audit Council audit of spending on the Hunley.
The State asked members of the General Assembly what they thought, since it takes five members to initiate such an audit.
In an informal poll late last week, The State interviewed 74 of the 170 members of the General Assembly.
Thirty-four said they would support such an audit.
But, as of late Friday, no members officially had requested an audit.
