That said, our objective is to request an empathetic ear and suggest a solution. My daughter is in her final year at USC, successfully pursuing a career in healthcare as a Nurse Practitioner. An outstanding student, she maintains a 3.6 GPA, earned a place on the Dean's List and was invited to join Phi Theta Sigma national honor society today. She has worked in the medical field during her adult life and has been self-supporting while attending university. As such, her tenure at USC now enters a fifth year, as does her FASA student aid. The FASA program supporting a four year schedule will end before she completes her last semester, ending June 2015. Unwilling to accept that her stellar performance and responsibility be wasted for lack of about $7500.00, we have all sought out and been denied funding from every source we've applied to. Once graduated, she becomes eligible for aid through medical school programs. Our family, like many others financially challenged during the recent recession, found it necessary to liquidate assets and savings to support a basic existence. We humbly ask you to please direct our request for help to an agency or individual who may be able to provide a solution. Sincerely, Mark J. & Cynthia G. Reino
