I have seen cars with pieces held on by tape and saran wrap, but a much more common issue is the lack of brake lights. I've asked some officers before about who/how to report them and was told to dial the *47 number for impaired drivers. When I've done so, I've gotten reactions like "there's people like that all over" (such as today before writing this). I also get transferred to the local office rather regularly, which I understand as they would be closer, but most times they really don't act like they care. I also just tried to report a driver who was in the center lane that suddenly turned right in front of traffic in the right lane. I'm not looking for an officer to come to my house and talk to me, I'm looking for them to keep an eye out for dangerous drivers, but I get the impression that they are stupefied by my concern. Is there some way we can get more than billboards and concerns for the hwy? Something for people who live in the towns and aren't just traveling through. Also, with all the issues going on with police and public relations lately, it may be an idea to add them to the drop-down list on this page, and encourage them to have a presence on social media. There are similar initiatives in other states that can be looked at for inspiration.
