I work for a state agency in Richland County. My employer's policy is that if the governor declares a state of emergency for Richland County AND authorizes leave with pay, employees are not required to use annual or sick leave for any time missed from work. Has Governor Haley authorized leave with pay? It is essential that I know this ASAP, as I am limited on the number of annual leave hours that I have remaining, and would like to be home with my children since they are out of school for the remainder of this week.
