Dear Governor Haley,
I watched the video of the Seneca Police officer Mark Tiller when he shot and killed Zachary Hammond back in July. I understand the officer was cleared of wrong doing. 
I must ask why wasn't the officer better trained to apprehend the suspect without using deadly force? There was no reason why he could not have taken control of the steering wheel sending the car into the woods! It seems that the only option he felt that he had was to use his weapon! 
Please use your office and influence to help stop these senseless killings. Our South Carolina law enforcement can do better than this! 
I respect our law enforcement officers and I am so glad they are on the job but after seeing this video it's clear to me something must be done.
