Sterling St. Morganton NC 28655 punruh2015@gmail.com 910-508-7776 828-475-6670 SCHED Referred to Ms. Priester by Ms. Haltiwanger regarding Charters of Freedom Dedication Ceremony 67.197.64.144 I represent Foundation Forward, a non-profit that gifts Charters of Freedom monuments in communities across the country as an educational resource. We are under construction of our first SC monument on the grounds of the Richland County Administration Building. This will be a gift from the employees of Patterson Fan Company in Blythewood. The owner, Vance Patterson, is the founder of our organization. We have placed 3 NC monuments, 1 each in Indiana and Illinois, and have several others planned across the country. We are having an official dedication ceremony of the monument on May 26 from 2:00-3:00 PM and would be honored if Governor Haley would join us as a speaker. The monuments are an effort to provide access to the founding documents for school children who may not have the opportunity to visit the original Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights in Washington, D.C. Encased in granite with bronze etchings for the documents, our monuments are built to last 300-500 years, so they will be utilized for generations to come. We encase a time capsule in all monuments, to be opened concurrently on September 17, 2087. We hope that Governor Haley will be a part of this occasion, and by doing so be remembered as an integral part of the ceremony years from now. Ms. Haltiwanger was in communication with Mr. Patterson last fall, during our original site search. She provided me Ms. Priester's email address, but delivery failed. I had intended to attach photos of our existing monuments, but invite you to view them on www.chartersoffreedom.com. I am also available at your convenience to answer questions. Mr. Patterson is also available to meet with Ms. Priester to provide additional details, if preferred. Thank you for considering our request...as an accomplished woman, Governor Haley is the embodiment of the principles of our founding documents, and would truly make our event special.
