Parrott 215 Ott Road Columbia SC 29205 parrotcm@email.sc.edu 8439921172 HOUS Private FEMA Assistance for Florence County Citizens 75.183.158.57 Governor Haley, South Carolina has been absolutely devastated by the floods in recent days. In Florence County, especially lower Florence County near the Williamsburg County border, the damage has been inconceivable. My parent's home, as well as all of the others living in the neighborhood on the outskirts of Johnsonville, South Carolina, has been taken over by flooding. They had to be evacuated from their home, including my permanent residence at 609 N 1st Neck Road Johnsonville, South Carolina 29555. I am currently a student at the University of South Carolina School of Law, so I am stranded in Columbia with no way to get home to help my parents. Many of us do not have flood insurance because, like so many others in our great State, we never thought it could get this bad. The only way I can find to help as of this moment is to email you/your staff and beg for you to urge President Obama to add Florence county to the list of South Carolina counties that will be eligible to receive private assistance. Without that assistance, the majority of my extended family and neighbors will be homeless very soon. I would be more than happy to provide you with photos of this extensive damage or anything else that you may need to make your plea more convincing to the federal government. Please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email if you or any of your staff have any questions. In addition, I would be very grateful for any updates on the progress towards having Florence County added to that private assistance fund. Best, Creasie Parrott parrotcm@email.sc.edu (843) 992-1172
