Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is meeting today with Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson and FBI Director James Comey. The topic of conversation? Gun control. I am absolutely livid. How dare he? Now, I know... "What's the harm of just meeting with them?" Well, the Republican Senate Majority Leader has prefaced his meeting by saying that he is "open" to passing new gun control in the wake of the Orlando terror attack after meeting with Obama administration officials today. We all knew it was just a matter of time before the RINOs in the Senate caved into the Left's demands for gun bans. Even though they've never shot a gun in their lives, Democrats feel they have the right to tell you and me what we should be allowed to use to defend ourselves and our families. The DHS Secretary came out yesterday and declared that, "meaningful gun control has to be a part of homeland security." No, it doesn't. Don't wait until it is too late! Tell Congress right now to STOP any and all attempts to force a vote on these draconian gun control bills! They want a new assault weapons ban, to arbitrarily outlaw guns based on their cosmetic attachments; They want a new background check law, which will allow the Federal government to keep a database of everyone who owns a gun; And they want to add secret, terror watch lists to the background check system so that the FBI can decide, without even charging someone with a crime, whether they should be allowed to own weapons or not. Even worse, now the Republicans are joining them. We always expect Democrats to push their gun control agenda in the wake of these terror attacks. Their mantra is 'never let a good crisis go to waste.' Never in my wildest dreams, however, did I think that Republicans would start caving like this. If Mitch McConnell truly believes he can learn something about gun rights or gun control from the most anti-gun administration in history, then he is already lost. On every single issue of substance, Mitch McConnell has now sided with the democrats. Obamacare. illegal alien amnesty. budget fights... and now gun control. It's pathetic. If McConnell flips, that means that the Democrats could have 1/3 of the necessary Republican votes in order to push this through. Our message is simple. All gun control legislation must be killed and not allowed to come to a floor vote. And if Mitch McConnell emerges from this meeting today and advocates new gun control laws, then he needs to be removed from power immediately. Period. Not in a week. not in a month. an immediate vote of no-confidence. That is the message we are delivering to Congress today. Our goal is to send half a million faxes today. That's 500,000 times that printers in Congressional offices will print out messages that say 'Don't You Dare!' 104.55.0.76
